In this project, the Deco Line team and architects Maria and Igor Sedmov had an ambitious task - to emphasize the aesthetics and functionality of the interior with the help of unique decorative solutions. The customer wanted to see a space filled with art, in a restrained monochrome palette, reminiscent of modern interiors of American skyscrapers, but at the same time cozy and thoughtful for living. The designers took this mood as a basis and added our signature accents: a plaster panel on the fireplace and a round bas-relief in the dining area.
Living room-dining room: fireplace as an architectural dominant
The living room-dining room is the central zone of the apartment, was conceived as the core around which the entire composition is built. The designers decided to turn the fireplace into the main accent in this zone, decorating it with a plaster panel inspired by natural forms. The plasticity of the relief refers to the image of mountain ranges - smooth lines and flowing shadows add dynamics to the surface, and the play of light in the evening hours turns the fireplace into a living work of art. This approach not only creates an accent, but also enhances the spatial depth of the zone.
Dining area: round bas-relief as a balance point
Continuing the natural theme, we designed a round bas-relief that adorned the wall of the dining area. Its shape and texture support the aesthetics of the panel on the fireplace, maintaining a visual rhythm and creating a sense of completeness. The plaster bas-relief serves not only as a decoration, but also as a balance point in the space, where every detail contributes to the overall impression.
The role of gypsum solutions in the project
Deco Line gypsum products — a panel on the fireplace and a round bas-relief — became some of the key elements of the interior. They allowed the space to be linked into a single artistic story, where modern minimalist aesthetics meet the tactile depth of gypsum and natural lines. These elements add character to the interior, emphasize its individuality and turn the space into living and breathing art.
