The Concert Hall of the Moscow State Kremlin Palace has always been not only a place where music is played and performances of the capital's leading performers and creative groups take place, but also a space that enriches the cultural life of the country as a whole. It was here that DECO LINE took part in the renovation of the art foyer interior and created a panel that can confidently be called a work of art.
In the fall of 2024, the artists taking to the stage of the State Kremlin Palace were the first to see a new unique bas-relief in the art foyer of the concert hall. It has become more than just a decorative element; it carries a deep meaning and emotional message. Each element of the bas-relief composition, each line has its own meaning. The story of its appearance is no less interesting than the depicted plot. The bas-relief was created by the DECO LINE team and designer Nadezhda Kuznetsova.
"The aesthetic center of the art foyer renovation project was the plaster bas-relief. However, the concept only indicated its location and size, and the content was only a hint of multi-figure movement. Together with the customer, we developed the Technical Task for the design of the bas-relief: an abstract composition of elements of an associative series, a combination of local planes and small textures. The main task was to convey the harmony of different musical genres, modern dance and classical ballet. And this was very logical, since the Kremlin Ballet is the first association that comes to mind when thinking about the Kremlin Ballet," Nadezhda said about the idea of the project at its start.
Creating an interior bas-relief is a fascinating and painstaking process. It is not easy to embody the creative idea of the designer in a real tangible object. Therefore, when Nadezhda turned to DECO LINE with such a task, it became both a challenge for the company and an excellent opportunity to implement all the experience of specialists accumulated over the years. Many sketches of the bas-relief were created. Nadezhda, together with the artists and technologists of DECO LINE, were in touch literally 24/7. They actively discussed and experimented, searched for and tested options until they heard the cherished words from the designer: "This is what we need!"
After the author's sketch was approved, the stage of making the bas-relief began. In the production of stucco decor, DECO LINE uses only high-quality sculptural gypsum, characterized by environmental stability and fire resistance, which is a mandatory requirement for materials for interior decoration. This is a light, durable and incredibly flexible material that allows you to bring to life the most creative and non-standard artistic ideas.
"The process of making and installing the bas-relief, which weighed almost a ton, was perfect. The work of the craftsmen and the DECO LINE production was filigree. - noted the designer. - I am very grateful for the perfect execution of my idea!"
Each element of the finished bas-relief is carefully designed. For example, images of instruments such as a harp, saxophone and keyboards not only model classical music, but also symbolize the combination of various musical trends. The height of the bas-relief was almost 2 meters with a width of just over 3 meters. The contour lighting, as conceived by the designer, effectively emphasizes the volume and texture.
When we started working on this project, we at DECO LINE understood the responsibility we were taking on. The concert hall of the State Kremlin Palace is a historically sacred place. The deadlines for completing all the work were extremely tight. Less than two weeks passed from the approval of the sketch to the completion of the installation of the finished bas-relief. At the same time, it was important to create a work of art that would not only decorate the space, but would also reflect the very idea of a concert hall - a center of culture and art. And we succeeded. The DECO LINE masters were able to implement the designer's wish that this bas-relief would have movement, lightness, and a feeling that a veil was thrown over the overall picture. Our team is grateful to this talented designer for the opportunity to jointly implement such a significant project.

The new bas-relief is now firmly established in the associative series of the GKD interiors and has already become part of our cultural heritage. Numerous photo shoots are held against its backdrop, and cultural and artistic figures are interviewed. Many of them note that they experience special emotions, stopping here for a short time to see, feel and hear the voice of our cultural identity, embodied in the form of a bas-relief, uniting generations and inspiring creativity.
The main priority in the work of DECO LINE always remains a personal approach to each customer and partner to implement unique ideas in interiors with character.
